Story
Behind the scenes of the Spinach ASL design: In our search for fruit and veggie signs that aren't located on the human face, spinach was one of our top contenders. Though some ASL users fingerspell "spinach," this is the sign we use for the vegetable. One of the design challengers was to figure out how to transition the end of the sign at the upper arm, which we addressed by adding a pot, spinach leaves and creative placement of the overall background.
